ASPBAE has appointed Dr Kilala Devette-Chee as its female South Pacific representative in its Executive Council.

Provincial land dispute committees sign MOUs

The Provincial Land Dispute Committees (PLDCs) in three provinces signed Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs) with Magisterial Services and Department of Justice & Attorney General in 2017. The provinces were Autonomous Region of Bougainville, Morobe and Western Highlands. The objectives of the tri-partied collaboration were to fully resource the PLDCs in seven pilot provinces under the Land Disputes Settlement Act, and efficientlymanage disputes and other issues relating to customary land.
