Launching of the PNG NRI Domestic Violence Policy
The Papua New Guinea National Research Institute (PNG NRI) will be launching its Domestic Violence Policy. PNG NRI Human Resource Manager Stephanie Manas said the core message of the policy is that domestic violence is everybody’s business.
The new PNG NRI Domestic Violence Policy is underpinned by three core principles:
1. The protection of PNG NRI staff and their families is a paramount priority of the Institute.
2. PNG NRI has a holistic view of domestic violence, recognising that it destroys families and devastates communities.
3. PNG NRI will pursue the perpetrators of acts of domestic violence to the fullest extent possible and is committed to supporting victims of domestic violence by providing access to appropriate safety and support services.
The Media is invited to attend the launch on:
Wednesday 30th of August 2017 at the PNG NRI Conference centre from 10:30 am – 12 midday.
A complimentary PNG NRI Polo T-Shirt will be issued to each reporter/cameraman and refreshments will be provided after the launch.
