Peter Michael Magury is a Research Fellow with the Development Indicators Research Program at the PNG National Research Institute. Prior to that, Mr Magury was a Research Fellow with the Universal Basic Education (UBE) Research Program.
He holds a Master of Science in Applied Statistics from Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, a Bachelor of Science from the University of Papua New Guinea. Mr Magury has just completed his Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA) at the University of Papua New Guinea in 2020.
He worked for the Department of Education for 12 years. He served as a Senior Education Statistician and Project Manager for Statistics and Education Management Information System and then went on to become the Principal Education Statistician for the Department of Education.
Mr. Magury’s current research projects include: Key 2019 Indicators for Universal Basic Education in Papua New Guinea’s Districts and Provinces, Key 2019 Indicators for Universal Basic Education; Female Participation in Papua New Guinea’s District and Provinces, and Indicators for Measuring, Analysis and Tracking of Basic Service Improvements at the Sub-National Levels in Papua New Guinea.
