Jeremy Goro is a Research fellow with the Education Research Program at the PNG National Research Institute (PNG NRI). He has a Master of Education specialising in research and pedagogy from the University of Newcastle, Australia. He also holds a Bachelor of Education specialising in Mathematics and Computer Technology from the Don Bosco Technological Institute (PNG).
Jeremy is a secondary mathematics teacher and held several positions up to the Deputy Principal Academic. He had a short stint with the Department of Education as Curriculum Officer in charge of Mathematics and ICT in the Curriculum Development and Design Division.
Prior to joining PNG NRI, he was a lecturer at the University of Goroka in the School of Education. Jeremy taught Introduction to Social and Educational Research Methods for In-Service Degree Program and Research Design for post graduate program. He also taught Curriculum Courses and Education Policy and Practice Course in the In-Service Degree Program. His research interest areas include education and curriculum reforms, understanding issues in higher education, economics of education, governance of education and cross-cutting issues in education. He also has research interest in governance and service deliveries in PNG.
